Admissions Information for the Education Specialist Credential Program in Visual Impairment (VI) and Blindness

The information provided below is general information for admissions into the credential program in VI. For detailed and up-to-date information please also contact the Student Services office, at (323) 343-4320, and visit the CSULA Admissions and the  Charter College of Education (CCOE) Admissions websites. Please note that application to the program is a two-step process requiring an application for the university (using Cal State Apply) and an application for the CCOE. Requirements for admission to the credential program can be found on the CCOE Credential Admissions website. Candidates are required to meet with the Program Coordinator for a formal interview and/or the teaching credential admission committee as part of the admissions process into the VI program and have a program planning form. Also, candidates are required to attend a Special Education Program Group Advisement Meeting. Please contact the Student Services office at (323) 343-4320 for a schedule of advisement meetings.

Admissions Information to the Master of Arts Degree in Visual Impairment (VI) and Blindness

The information provided below is general information for admissions into the Master of Arts Degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Visual Impairment and Blindness. For detailed and up-to-date information please also contact the Associate Dean's Office, at (323) 343-4303 and visit the  Charter College of Education (CCOE) website. To apply to the program, please download the application from the CCOE Admissions website. Candidates are required to meet with the Program Coordinator for a formal interview with faculty advisor and/or the teaching credential admission committee as part of the admissions process into the VI program and have a program planning form.
