Department of Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics at the California State University, Los Angeles consists of 16 tenure-track/tenured faculty and about 50 adjunct faculty and graduate teaching associates. We currently have about 200 students in the 4 options of our BS program and 30 students in our MS program.

We offer a Master of Science degree as well as a Bachelor of Science degree with four different options: Applied, General, Integrated Teaching and Traditional Teaching. In addition to its major programs, the department supports an undergraduate minor program as well as two approved Subject Matter Programs for the Single Subject Mathematics waiver and the Foundational Level Mathematics Waiver.

21st Annual Distinguished Women Awards

Congratulations to Math grad student Holly Kim for being a 2023 recipient of a Distinguished Women Award. She is one of only four student awardees.
