Cal State L.A. - Public Affairs Office News Release - Business Leadership Academy June 26, 1998 06/26/98 CONTACT:Margie Yu,Public Affairs Asst.(323) 343-3047 Calendarof Events Business Professionals to Train Inner City Studentsat Cal State L.A.'s Leadership Academy What & Who:Forty students from inner city high schools throughout Los Angeles will be attending the Academy of Business Leadership on the Cal State L.A. campus during the summer. The leadership project, coordinated by the University's School of Business and Economics, will provide educational training and mentoring to introduce inner city youths to careers in business and finance. When:July 6 - August 21, 1998, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Where:Cal State L.A. Simpson Tower 121. The University is located at the Eastern Avenue exit, San Bernardino (I-10) Fwy., at the interchange of the 10 and 710 Fwys. More:Each high school student will receive 12-14 hours of mentoring from volunteer trainers who are business professionals, and will be invited to local businesses, financial institutions and universities.
