Malcolm X Festivity at Cal State L.A.
What & Who: California State University, Los Angeles presents a Malcolm X Day celebration as part of the campus-wide Cultural Diversity Celebration.
When: Thursday, May 16, 1996, 6 - 9 p.m.
Where: Cal State L.A. University-Student Union, Glendale Room. The University is located at the Eastern Avenue exit, San Bernardino (I-10) Fwy., at the interchange of the 10 and 710 Fwys.
More: An evening of jazz, jazz-rap and unity jam session with the Caravel Hollow Jazz Quintet and Strokely, featuring Brother Bank and other guest artists.
Playboy magazine called Strokely's music, ". . . a living exhibition of the kind of Black- Latino solidarity implicit in much of Mayfield's music."
