Speak on the U.S. Patriot Act

Los Angeles, CA – October 22 is officially the 8th Annual National Day of Protest to Stop Police Brutality, Repression, and Criminalization of a Generation. Protest groups are likely to focus on racial profiling, the U.S. Patriot Act, and other measures undertaken in the name of homeland security. Scott Bowman, professor of political science at Cal State L.A., will be available to speak to the media about the post-9/11 U.S. Patriot Act.

Scott Bowman
Assistant Professor of Political Science; Ph.D., UCLA
Dr. Bowman’s specialization includes public law, comparative Constitutionalism, political theory and American political development. He is currently doing a study about the post-9/11 U.S. Patriot Act. He can also speak on “Separation of Power and Federalism,” “Constitutionalism and Development,” and “American Political Thought.” He was formerly a legal analyst and consultant for the Antitrust Division and Land Law Division for the Office of the Attorney General. In 1995, Dr. Bowman was made an honorary member of the Mortar Board Society for excellence in teaching.
