What:
The Physics and Astronomy Department at California State University, Los Angeles introduces the Winter and Spring 2006 Science and Engineering Series. All lectures will be held Wednesday evenings at 8 p.m.

Lectures:
February 8 – Dr. Guo-Meng Zhao (Physics and Astronomy): “Evidence for Room Temperature Superconductivity in Multi-walled Carbon Nanotubes.”

March 8 – Dr. Maj Dean Mirmirani (Mechanical Engineering): “Air-Breathing Hypersonic Flight Vehicles.”

April 12 – Dr. Helen Boussalis (Electrical and Computer Engineering): “Research Related to the Space Telescopes.”

May 10 – Dr. Amelia Russo-Neustadt (Biological Sciences): “How Exercise Can Improve Your Mind.”

Where:
Cal State L.A. Physical Sciences building, room 158. The University is located at the Eastern Ave. exit, San Bernardino (I-10) Fwy., at the interchange of 10 and 710 Fwys. Public (ticket dispenser) parking available in Lots C and G, or the upper level of Parking Structure II.
