Cal State L.A. Presents the Winter/Spring 1998 Science Series

What & Who:
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at California State University, Los Angeles introduces the Winter/Spring 1998 Science Series, exploring historical and current concepts in geology, physics and chemistry. All lectures will be held Wednesday evenings at 8 p.m.

Lectures:
February 4, 1998 - Wayne Tikkanen (Chemistry):
"Werewolves and Vampires: An Introduction to Metabolic Diseases."

March 4, 1998 - Oscar Bernal (Physics):
"The Use of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance from Metals to Biological Imaging."

April 1, 1998 - Sandra Sharp (Biology):
"What's All the Fuss About Cloning?"

May 6, 1998 - David Soltz (Biology):
"Fishes in Death Valley: A Laboratory for the Study of Evolution."

Where:
Cal State L.A. Physical Sciences Building, room 158. The University is located at the Eastern Avenue exit, San Bernardino (I-10) Fwy., at the interchange of 10 and 710 Fwys.
