EPIC drive at Cal State L.A. to deliver
food, toys to low-income familiesÂagain
Los Angeles, CA Â As it has every December since 1972, next week the Educational Participation in Communities (EPIC) at California State University, Los Angeles, will brighten the holiday season for low-income families around the Cal State L.A. campus community.
EPIC will collect toys and boxes of canned food and dry goods from CSULA staff, students and faculty for its 35th Annual Holiday Toy and Food Drive, to make deliveries to more than 60 families.
On Thursday, Dec. 14, EPIC volunteers will deliver the holiday cheers to low-income families selected by nonprofit community agencies in the greater Los Angeles area. Last year, Cal State L.A. collected around $24,675 worth of toys and food, which were delivered to 233 children and 158 adults.
