| Cal State L.A. Celebrates What & Who: When: Where: More Events: LECTURE-"Women's Rights are Human Rights." Thu., Mar. 2, 3:30 p.m., Maxwell Theatre, U-SU. Keynote speaker for Women's History Month, Ninotchka Rosca is the Philippine's pre-eminent novelist and recipient of the 1993 American Book Award. She was a political prisoner under the Marcos regime and is a founding chair of the GABRIELA Network, a Philippine-U.S. women's solidarity organization working against the trafficking of women. EVENT-International Women's Day. Wed., Mar. 8, 12 noon, The Pit, U-SU. Los Angeles-based Wozani performs its fun and funky music at this international celebration of women. Include displays featuring information on women from around the world. LECTURE-Mexican Folklórico Workshop. Wed., Mar. 8, 6 p.m., Physical Education, room 134. A workshop on women's cultural expressions in Mexican Folklórico dancing. VIDEO-Women's History Month Film and Video Fest. Thu., Mar. 9, 12 noon - 7:30 p.m., Maxwell Theatre, U-SU. A variety of films will be screened exploring and celebrating the lives of women. This mini film festival will include Rosie the Riveter; My Feminism; A Place of Rage; Girls Like Us; The Righteous Babes; and Heavenly Creatures. Info:
